The Premier League is widely considered by many to be the best league in the world, with a number of superstars plying their trade in England. There are a number of strikers who score a lot goals, though there are some who despite being prolific, have missed some big chances in front of goal.

Here, we take a look at five players who have missed the most big chances since 2010/11.

1. Sergio Aguero – 125

A surprising name comes on top of the list, with Sergio Aguero missing a staggering 125 big chances since the 2010/11 season, which is a surprise considering that the Argentinian has been scoring goals for fun in the league.

2. Romelu Lukaku – 86

Romelu Lukaku played for a number of clubs during his time in England, and while he is known for being prolific – the striker has been accused of missing easy chances in front of goal. With the Belgian playing in Italy, it is unlikely that he will add to this tally anytime soon.

3. Christian Benteke – 82

Another Belgian who has played for a number of clubs in England is Christian Benteke, with the striker at one point one of the best in the league. However, his form has fallen of spectacularly in the last three years or so and it shows in his numbers.

4. Harry Kane – 81

Another player who’s name on the list comes as a surprise is Harry Kane who usually finds himself on top of the goalscoring charts.The England skipper though does miss some big chances and hence finds himself placed fourth.

5. Robin van Persie – 80

The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker enjoyed some brilliant success in front of goal during his career, and he like the others too sometimes fluffed his lines in front of goal. Despite all his exploits, the Dutchman missed 80 big chances in the league.
