Norwich vs Chelsea

With the Blues looking fragile at the back, I expect them to share the scoresheet with Norwich, which is an attacking side. I expect a high scoring game.

Frank Lampard will be determined to get his first win as Chelsea manager, when his side take on Norwich city on Saturday. The former midfielder has collected just one point from the first available six in the Premier League, as well as overseeing a penalty shootout defeat to Liverpool in the European Super Cup.

Team news

Josip Drmic, Onel Hernandez and Christoph Zimmermann all remain ruled out, although Timm Klose and Ibrahim Amadou could be in contention for a first appearance of the season.

Callum Hudson-Odoi and Antonio Rudiger are still short of fitness despite returning to full training, while Ruben Loftus-Cheek is a long-term absentee.

Having earned promotion thanks to an attacking style of play that saw their games produce more goals than any other Championship team, Daniel Farke’s men have stayed true to their principles in the top flight.

After missing a number of chances in a harsh 4-1 opening defeat against Liverpool, their endeavour was rewarded with a 3-1 win over Newcastle that saw Teemu Pukki grab a hat-trick.

In confident spirits following that performance, they will fancy their chances against a Blues side that has only kept one clean sheet in 10 fixtures under the new boss, including friendlies.

Indeed, Chelsea have conceded 18 times and scored 21 since Lampard took over, making the likelihood of at least three goals being scored and both teams finding the net for Norwich’s seventh consecutive competitive match.
