Chelsea could well have a surprise secret weapon on their hands if things go accordingly for forgotten highly rated winger Charly Musonda.
The Belgian turns 24 this week and he has been at Chelsea since 2012 always being tipped for a great future.
The club have kept the faith in Musonda despite a number of injuries that has haunted his career so far.
His present situation is no different, and he was told by Doctors that his latest injury could keep him from ever kicking a ball again.
However, he is fully on the long road to recovery still and with modern science and age on his side, there is every chance he could be out on the pitch playing again.
Musonda has made a impressive physical transformation over the last year as he works hard on his recovery (see below).
Charly Musonda’s physical transformation is quite something. He’s working hard to get back playing football, and this will help immensely when he does. He was often pushed off the ball too easily. Great work! pic.twitter.com/LSyKxDjbGj

One of the issues Musonda had when he was trying to break into the Chelsea first team was his lack of physicality in a league where you need to be strong. He was often easily pushed off the ball despite having all the talent, creative flair, and pace.
If he manages to fully recover from the knee injury, then he can become a surprise secret weapon for Frank Lampard to unleash in this team. Being a natural winger, you feel this is an area if any, where Chelsea are short on as it stands.
He is direct and has the ability to beat his man and make things happen.
Life is far from a fairy tale, but I am sure with the club keeping faith in him and the ability he has already showed, he has a chance to still make it at Chelsea.
