Talks of a contract extension have reportedly stalled, after both parties could not come to terms on the length of the new contract. Willian is said to be demanding a new three-year deal, but Chelsea are only willing to offer a two-year extension.
Arsenal and Spurs have previously been reported to be keen on signing the Brazilian, but Manchester United also appear to have entered the fray. According to France Football [via Metro], the Red Devils have contacted Willian’s representative, Kia Joorabchian to register their interest in the star.

The possibility of signing Willian, who is now in his seventh season with Chelsea, for free seem to be tempting for some clubs, more so in the wake of the financial consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The France Football report states that the Red Devils want to add experience to their attacking department, and they believe that bringing Willian on board on a free transfer is an attractive prospect. Willian will turn 32 later this year, but he would no doubt be a quality addition to the Manchester United roster despite his age.
